Tiger’s eye ring, size 14
Tiger's Eye Ring
Solid tiger's eye band, size 14 - smoothly polished, in a brown-gold shade, cut from a single piece of mineral from Brazil. The stone's fibrous interior creates a silky streak of light that moves across the band as the viewing angle changes; it is more visible under a lamp than in diffused daylight. The stone quickly absorbs the warmth of your hand, so after a while it no longer feels cool to the touch.

About the stone
Tiger's eye is a variety of quartz formed through a pseudomorphosis process after fibrous crocidolite. The mineral's original fibers were replaced by silica while retaining their parallel arrangement. This structure is responsible for the cat's-eye effect, or chatoyancy - an optical phenomenon in which a band of light moves across a polished surface. The most important deposits of this stone are located in South Africa, Australia, and Brazil. Learn more in the article Tiger's Eye - Properties and History on our blog.
Care
Use only a damp, soft cloth for cleaning. Avoid dropping the ring onto hard surfaces. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of a jewelry box.
