Gold-plated rock crystal ring

This rock crystal ring from Brazil is size 14, and the whole piece measures approximately 2 × 3 cm. A gold-plated band covers the front of the ring at the base of the crystals, while the crystal tips and the rest of the stone body remain exposed. One long, pointed crystal projects prominently forward, and all the crystals are transparent. The stone outside the druzy is creamy white with beige streaks. The band is made of stone, so the size cannot be adjusted. The stone shown in the photos is the exact piece we will ship.

About the stone

The ancient Greeks believed rock crystal was ice frozen for eternity. Today, we know it is the purest variety of quartz, which crystallizes at temperatures between 100 and 400°C. The crystals that form are transparent. Learn more in the article Rock crystal — properties on our blog.

Care

Leave the ring at home when exercising, carrying shopping, or doing housework. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver-polishing cloth or polishing paste. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating comes with a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will replate the ring. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
