Adjustable Amber Ring, Gold-Plated 925 Sterling Silver

The size of this amber ring is adjustable, and the stone measures approximately 2.5 × 1 cm. The oval stone is set in a bezel that holds it by the edge, and the band, made of gold-plated 925 sterling silver, is open so its size can be adjusted. The stone has an even, buttery yellow color, opaque like wax, with a lighter, diffuse streak near the bottom. The highly domed oval glimmers from end to end. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will ship.

About the stone

Tens of millions of years ago, tree resin hardened and fossilized, forming amber, an organic material used in jewelry. Whether resin is considered amber depends on its age: the cutoff is one million years, and younger resin is called copal. The name amber encompasses more than a hundred types of fossil resins. Care

Put the ring on after applying your morning makeup, and take it off and set it aside before working with detergents. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing compounds. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will re-plate the ring. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop - the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
