Gold-Plated Amethyst Ring

This amethyst ring from Brazil is size 17, and the whole piece measures approximately 1.5 × 3 cm. The entire ring body is gold-plated, including the inside, while the druzy at the front is left exposed, with its large, natural crystals. The amethyst has a muted, slightly grayish purple hue, and its crystals, with broad, flat faces, form an uneven band across the entire front, extending farther on one side than the rest. The delicate line on the surface is a natural mark in the stone beneath the gold plating. The ring body is made of stone, so its size cannot be adjusted. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will ship.

About the stone

Amethyst gets its purple color from iron, which colors this variety of quartz. The stone forms in geodes in basalt rocks. Its color ranges to deep purple, with smooth transitions from darker to lighter areas. Since antiquity, it has been among the most highly prized gemstones. Care

Remove the ring before sleeping, bathing, or swimming, and put it on only after applying cream and perfume. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing pastes. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will replate the ring. The gold plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and timeframe. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
