Gold-Plated Necklace with Raw Pyrite

The stone in the pendant is raw pyrite from Peru, measuring approximately 3.5 × 2 cm. A gold-plated basket setting with prongs holds the pyrite, embracing its sides while leaving the crystal-covered top exposed. The pyrite has a metallic golden sheen that shifts to cool gray in places, and tiny crystals densely cover the top, close together. A raised ridge runs from the top edge toward the center, standing higher than the edges of the stone. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will send.

About the Stone

Pyrite has a metallic golden sheen, and its crystals are cubic in shape. This intense luster is what earned the mineral the name “fool’s gold.” In terms of composition, pyrite is iron sulfide that crystallizes in cubes and pentagonal dodecahedra. Care

Remove the necklace before sleeping or exercising, and put it on only after applying creams and perfume. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth; do not use a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. Remove pyrite jewelry before bathing or swimming. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will replate the pendant (the warranty does not cover the chain). The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
