About the stone
Pyrite is an iron sulfide that crystallizes in the cubic crystal system, forming geometric cubes and pentagonal dodecahedra. Due to its intense metallic luster and golden color, it is sometimes called “fool’s gold.” It forms through hydrothermal processes and in sedimentary rocks. This mineral is sought after by collectors and valued for the unique symmetry of its natural crystals. Find out more in the article Pyrite — Fool’s Gold on our blog.
Care
Pyrite does not tolerate moisture well, so clean it only when dry, using a soft brush or cloth. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of a jewelry box.
