Gold-Plated Amethyst Ring

This Brazilian amethyst ring is size 24 and measures approximately 1.5 × 3 cm overall. A gold-plated band wraps around the front of the ring at the base of the crystals, leaving the crystal tips and the rest of the stone body exposed. The crystals are a rich, deep purple, noticeably darker than the lilac layer along the sides. Greenish bands run through the gray back of the stone, and tiny dark green dots are visible inside the opening. The body is made of stone, so the size cannot be adjusted. The stone shown in the photos is the exact piece we will ship.

About the stone

Since ancient times, amethyst has been one of the stones most highly prized by jewelers, and it has retained that status. Structurally, it is quartz, and its purple color comes from iron. The crystals form in basalt geodes, and their color is deep, naturally varying from lighter to darker shades. Find out more in the article Amethyst — properties and history on our blog.

Care

Put the ring on last, once your cream and perfume have absorbed, and take it off for housework and trips to the gym. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if your claim is accepted, we will re-plate the ring. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
