Gold-Plated Amethyst Ring

This Brazilian amethyst ring is size 16 and measures approximately 1 × 3 cm overall. A gold-plated band wraps around the front of the ring at the base of the crystals, leaving their tips and the rest of the stone body exposed. The crystals have a muted grayish-purple hue with darker tips and form a cluster with a wavy outline. The back of the stone body is smooth and slightly translucent, with a lilac-gray tone and lighter bands. As the ring is made from stone, its size cannot be adjusted. The stone shown in the photos is the exact piece we will ship.

About the stone

Since ancient times, amethyst has been one of the most prized gemstones. It is a variety of quartz colored deep purple by iron, with natural variations in color, and forms in basalt geodes. Learn more in the article Amethyst — properties and history on our blog.

Care

Apply cream, perfume, and hairspray first, then put on the ring; take it off and set it aside before washing dishes. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will replate the ring. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
