Gold-Plated Aquamarine Ring

This Brazilian aquamarine ring is size 11 and measures approximately 1 × 3 cm overall. The top of the ring is a flat-cut face of the stone, bordered by a gold-plated band along its sides; the rest of the body is left exposed. The aquamarine is a very light, cool blue, with hints of gray in places. Horizontal bands run across the elongated face, which narrows toward the left. The body is made of stone, so the size cannot be adjusted. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will ship.

About the stone

Aquamarine crystallizes in granite pegmatites as a variety of beryl. Its color comes from iron, which gives aquamarine crystals their icy blue hue with a sea-green tint. Learn more in the article Aquamarine — Properties on our blog.

Care

Remove the ring before sleeping, swimming, or using a sauna, and apply cosmetics before putting it on. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, not a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will replate the ring. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
