Raw Pyrite Necklace, Gold-Plated
Necklace featuring raw pyrite from Peru; the stone in the pendant measures approximately 3.5 × 2 cm. A gold-plated basket setting with prongs that wrap around the sides holds the pyrite, leaving the crystal-covered top exposed. Its surface is covered with a dense, granular layer of very fine, light-gold metallic crystals. One edge is uneven, with a distinct indentation in the middle. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will send.

About the stone
The term “fool’s gold” refers to pyrite and its intense metallic luster. The mineral itself is iron sulfide and crystallizes in perfectly geometric forms: cubes and pyritohedra. Their flat faces shine with a metallic golden glow. Find out more in the article Pyrite — Fool’s Gold on our blog.
Care
Take off the necklace at the end of the day, before applying night cream. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth; do not use a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. Remove pyrite jewelry before bathing or swimming. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will replate the pendant (the warranty does not cover the chain). The gold plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
