Gold-Plated Raw Pyrite Necklace
The pendant on this necklace is a piece of raw pyrite from Peru, measuring approximately 2.5 × 2.5 cm. The pyrite is held by a gold-plated basket setting with prongs that wrap around its sides, leaving the crystal-covered top exposed. The stone has a bright, golden metallic luster, strongest on the larger cubes in the center of the square. Toward the edges, the crystals become smaller and give way to dense, shimmering grains. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will send.

About the stone
Pyrite's cubic crystals have a metallic golden sheen so intense that the mineral earned the nickname “fool's gold.” It is composed of iron sulfide, and its crystals form perfectly geometric cubes and pentagonal dodecahedra. Learn more in the article Pyrite — Fool's Gold on our blog.
Care
Remove the necklace before working out, cleaning, or sleeping, and put it on after applying perfume and lotion. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth; do not use a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. Remove pyrite jewelry before bathing or swimming. The gold plating comes with a one-year warranty: if your claim is accepted, we will replate the pendant (the warranty does not cover the chain). The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in your jewelry box.
