Larimar Necklace, Gold-Plated 925 Sterling Silver
The pendant features a larimar stone measuring approximately 3 × 2 cm. The smoothly polished stone is set in gold-plated 925 sterling silver, which holds it at the edges and forms a bail at the top. Its irregular outline combines straight edges with one rounded side, while white clouds drift across its pale blue surface. A few thin beige veins cross the blue, and a round gray spot is visible near one corner. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we’ll send.

About the Stone
Geologically, larimar is a blue variety of pectolite, a mineral in the wollastonite group. It occurs in cavities and veins in altered basalt in the mountains above the village of Baoruco, in the Dominican province of Barahona, and is not known to occur outside the Dominican Republic. It has a compact, fibrous structure and takes a good polish.
Care
Take off the necklace before removing your makeup in the evening, and put it on in the morning only after applying moisturizer and perfume. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing compounds. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will replate the pendant (the warranty does not cover the chain). The plating can also be refreshed later in our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in your jewelry box.
