Larimar necklace, 925 gold-plated silver
The pendant on this necklace is a larimar stone measuring approximately 2.5 × 2 cm. The smoothly polished stone is set in gold-plated 925 silver, which holds it along the edge and extends into a bail at the top. Its outline is rounded and irregular, and blue blends with greenish areas across its highly domed surface. White bands are crossed by a thin yellowish vein, and tiny dark spots are visible near the edge. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will ship.

About the stone
“Lari” is the nickname of Miguel Méndez’s daughter, and “mar” means “sea” in Spanish — the name Larimar was formed by combining these words and has been used in the trade since 1975. The stone is a blue variety of pectolite from the wollastonite group and has only been found in the Dominican Republic.
Care
Remove the necklace before showering, and put it back on once your skin is dry. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is accepted, we will replate the pendant (the warranty does not cover the chain). The gold plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in your jewelry box.
