Larimar necklace, 925 gold-plated silver
The pendant on this necklace is a larimar stone measuring approximately 3.5 × 1.5 cm. The smoothly polished stone is set in a 925 gold-plated silver bezel that holds it along the edge and extends into a bail at the top. The elongated stone has one straight side and one rounded side, giving it the appearance of half an oval. A brown vein runs along the straight edge, while patches of blue turn greenish in places. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we’ll send.

About the stone
The name Larimar has been used in the trade since 1975. Miguel Méndez coined it from his daughter’s nickname, “Lari,” and the Spanish word “mar,” meaning sea. Larimar is a blue pectolite, and the only known deposit is in the Dominican Republic, in Barahona Province.
Care
Put on the necklace only after applying cream, hairspray, and perfume. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. The gold plating comes with a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will re-plate the pendant (the warranty does not cover the chain). The plating can also be refreshed later in our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
