Lapis Lazuli Necklace, 925 Silver
The stone in the pendant is lapis lazuli, measuring approximately 1 × 1 cm. The smoothly polished stone is set in 925 silver, which holds it along the edges and extends into a bail at the top. The stone’s deep cornflower blue is densely flecked with shimmering metallic inclusions scattered across the entire oval, while in a few places the color lightens into gray-blue streaks. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we’ll send.

About the stone
Lapis lazuli is a rock composed of several minerals, primarily lazurite, calcite, and pyrite. Lazurite gives it its deep blue color, calcite creates white spots and streaks, and pyrite adds golden metallic flecks. For thousands of years, the finest material has come from deposits in the marble mountains of Afghanistan; other important sources include Chile and the area around Lake Baikal.
Care
Remove the necklace before sleeping or exercising, and put it on only after your perfume has dried. Silver darkens over time; you can polish the setting with a silver polishing cloth, avoiding the stone. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
