Labradorite Necklace
Labradorite Necklace
Put on this necklace to see how the raw form of labradorite looks against the neckline. The stone has a natural, irregular shape and a gray, steel-colored base. Depending on the angle of the light, metallic blue and gold flashes appear on its opaque surface. The gold-plated silver setting delicately highlights the mineral’s cool tone. This contrast gives the piece a modern, raw character that works well with everyday outfits.

About the stone
Labradorite is a feldspar from the plagioclase series that forms in mafic igneous rocks. It takes its name from the Labrador Peninsula in Canada, where it was first discovered and described. The characteristic feature of this mineral is labradorescence—the phenomenon of light interference in thin layers inside the crystal. This process makes the gray, opaque stone shimmer with colorful flashes when viewed from the right angle. Find out more in the article Labradorite — the Aurora Stone on our blog.
Care
Protect the gold-plated silver and labradorite from contact with perfume and water, and use only a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of your jewelry box.
