Labradorite Necklace
Labradorite Necklace
Raw labradorite from Brazil set in gold-plated silver - a grey, steel-grey stone that flashes blue and green from certain angles. This flash lies within the mineral and appears only when it is positioned at a particular angle to the light; from other angles, the pendant is grey. An irregular, natural shape; the gold plating of the setting warms the steel-grey stone. Choose from three chain lengths - 45, 63, or 83 cm.

About the stone
Labradorite is a feldspar from the plagioclase series that forms in mafic igneous rocks. It takes its name from the Canadian peninsula of Labrador, where it was discovered. This opaque, steel-grey mineral displays labradorescence. This optical effect is caused by the interference of light on thin layers within the crystal structure, producing metallic, colourful flashes. Care
Protect the gold-plated silver from contact with water, and wipe the stone only with a dry, soft cloth without detergents. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of your jewellery box.
