Gold-Plated Drop Earrings with Clear Quartz

Drop earrings with clear quartz from Brazil; each stone measures approximately 2.5 × 1.5 cm. Gold-plated brass wraps around the top of each crystal near the ear wire, leaving the rest exposed. Both crystals are white and transparent: one has several distinct points, while the other is densely covered with tiny crystals. They are elongated in shape, with irregular, jagged edges. The stone shown in the photos is the exact piece we will ship. The stones in the pair differ in shape.

About the stone

The purest variety of quartz is known as clear quartz. It crystallizes at temperatures between 100 and 400°C, and the finished stone is transparent. In ancient Greece, it was thought to be ice that had frozen for eternity. Learn more in the article Clear Quartz — Properties on our blog.

Care

Remove the earrings before bathing, swimming, or sleeping. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth; do not use a silver polishing cloth or polishing pastes. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is accepted, we will re-plate the earrings. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
