Pyrite Bracelet with Chain

3 mm pyrite beads across a 14 cm section, followed by 4 cm of chain with an extender and lobster clasp - allowing the bracelet to be fastened more loosely or tightly depending on the day. Pyrite from Peru has a cool, dark-gold sheen that reflects light like metal, but feels like stone: heavier and harder than it looks. The chain, decorative bead, and clasp are all made of the same metal - silver or gold-plated silver, to choose from.

About the stone

Pyrite is an iron sulfide distinguished by its unique crystallographic structure. In nature, it forms almost perfectly geometric cubes and pentagonal dodecahedra. Due to its intense metallic sheen and golden color, it is sometimes called “fool’s gold”. As a common mineral, it occurs in almost all types of rock, and its hardness ranges from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. Find out more in the article Pyrite - Fool’s Gold on our blog.

Care

Protect pyrite from moisture and water to prevent iron oxidation. Wipe the metal and stones only with a dry, soft cloth. Store in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of a jewelry box.
