About the stone

Pyrite is an iron sulfide distinguished by its unique crystallographic structure. In nature, it forms almost perfectly geometric cubes and pentagonal dodecahedra. Due to its intense metallic luster and golden color, it is sometimes called “fool’s gold.” As a common mineral, it occurs in nearly all types of rock, and its hardness ranges from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale.
