Coffee Table with a 10 kg Rock Crystal Druze No. 242
10 kg Rock Crystal Druze Table no. 242
A 10 kg, 33 cm-wide rock crystal druze rests on a gold frame at a height of 60 cm — the same height as a side table next to a sofa. The transparent crystals scatter daylight and reveal the icy structure within, while the base’s matte gold does not distract from it. Four brass claws embrace the specimen from the sides; we cut a glass tabletop to order to fit them.

About the stone
Rock crystal is the purest variety of quartz. It forms deep within the Earth, crystallizing at temperatures between 100 and 400°C. It is characterized by its absolute transparency, reminiscent of frozen water. The ancient Greeks even believed that this mineral was eternally frozen ice. Its regular hexagonal structure and lack of chemical impurities account for the exceptional clarity of the crystals obtained. Learn more in the article Rock crystal — properties on our blog.
Care
Wipe the crystal with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth, avoiding strong detergents. Place the table on a level, stable surface.
