Tourmaline Ring on a Band

Adjustable gold-plated brass band with raw tourmaline from Brazil in black and gold tones. The glassy ridges of the striations reflect their surroundings, while the grooves between them remain matte - creating a pattern of vertical lines on the stone, visible even from a distance. The band can be gently opened or squeezed to fit your finger; the stone remains securely set. It pairs with gold earrings and a silver watch at the same time - the black color brings both metals together.

About the stone

Tourmalines belong to the group of borosilicates with highly variable chemical compositions. These crystals form mainly in pegmatites and metamorphic rocks and are distinguished by their characteristic longitudinal striations. They have a glassy luster and the ability to form zoned, multicolored structures in which a single mineral crystal can gradually change color along its entire length.
