About the stone

Tourmaline is a mineral from the borosilicate group with an exceptionally complex chemical composition. It crystallizes in pegmatites and metamorphic rocks, forming prismatic crystals with characteristic longitudinal ridges and a glassy sheen. It is known for its remarkably rich range of colors — individual specimens can be zoned and change color along the length of the crystal.
