Gold-Plated Rock Crystal Ring

This Brazilian rock crystal ring is size 19 and measures approximately 2 × 3 cm overall. The entire ring band is gold-plated, including the inside, while the druzy at the front is left exposed, revealing large natural crystals. The crystals have grown together into thick, angular formations with flat faces and are transparent. The lower edge of the druzy is uneven, with a prominent stone protrusion extending downward on one side. The band is made of stone, so its size cannot be adjusted. The stone shown in the photos is the exact piece we will ship.

About the stone

Rock crystal belongs to the quartz family and is its purest variety. It crystallizes at temperatures between 100 and 400°C, producing transparent crystals. The ancient Greeks believed it was ice frozen for eternity. Learn more in the article Rock Crystal — Properties on our blog.

Care

Put the ring on at the end of your morning routine, once your hand cream and perfume have dried. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth; do not use a silver polishing cloth or polishing compounds. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is accepted, we will re-plate the ring. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
