Gold-plated rock crystal ring

This Brazilian rock crystal ring is size 16 and measures approximately 2 × 3 cm overall. The entire ring body is gold-plated, including the inside, while the front is left open to reveal a druzy with large natural crystals. The transparent white crystals form slender columns clustered densely together. A few tips project diagonally beyond the rest of the druzy. The ring body is made of stone, so its size cannot be adjusted. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will ship.

About the stone

Of all the varieties of quartz, rock crystal is the purest. It crystallizes at temperatures from 100 to 400°C, forming transparent crystals. The ancient Greeks believed it was ice that had frozen forever and would never melt. Learn more in the article Rock Crystal — Properties on our blog.

Care

Take off the druzy ring for sports and gardening, and put it on after applying creams and perfume. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth; do not use a silver polishing cloth or polishing pastes. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is accepted, we will replate the ring. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
