  • 10 — 50 mm
  • 11 — 51 mm
  • 12 — 52 mm
  • 13 — 53 mm
  • 14 — 54 mm
  • 15 — 55 mm

How to measure? Wrap a measuring tape or piece of string around the thickest part of your finger. Read the measurement in millimeters — that’s your circumference. Choose one size up.

Gold-Plated Amethyst Ring

This amethyst ring from Brazil is size 16, and the whole piece measures approximately 1.5 × 3 cm. The entire ring body is gold-plated, including the inside, while the druzy at the front is left exposed, showing large natural crystals. The amethyst crystals are densely set in a dark, rich purple, and their facets shimmer. At one end of the druzy, the purple lightens, forming a cluster of crystals that extends forward. The body is made of stone, so the size cannot be adjusted. The stone shown in the photos is the exact piece we will ship.

About the Stone

In amethyst’s deep purple, the shades blend seamlessly into one another. Its color comes from iron, and the stone itself is a variety of quartz. Its crystals form in basalt geodes. It has been prized in jewelry since antiquity, more highly than most stones. Learn more in the article Amethyst — Properties and History on our blog.

Care

Remove the ring before washing your hands or cleaning, and put it back on once your hands are dry. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing pastes. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will replate the ring. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
