Black tourmaline from Brazil, a raw crystal with elongated ridges, set in gold-plated silver. The black is matte and deep; light draws bright lines along the ridges, while the grooves remain black. The gold plating is the only warm element - on a black sweater, it is what stands out; on a white one, the entire silhouette of the stone is visible. The chain is 45 cm; 63 and 83 cm when the pendant is meant to hang lower.

About the stone
Black tourmaline, also known as schorl, is a boron silicate with an extraordinarily complex crystal structure. It is one of the world's most valued collector's minerals. It is characterized by a deep, almost entirely matte black color and unique elongated ridges on the surface of its crystals.
