Agate Geode Slice Necklace
Agate Geode Slice Necklace
A cross-section of an agate geode in brown tones, set in gold-plated silver - each slice from the same geode has a different line pattern. The polished surface reflects its surroundings with a matte finish, like lacquered wood; the edge is raw. In daylight, the layers show through, revealing which bands are dense and which are crystalline. Gold-plated silver setting; a 45 cm chain, or, if you want the pendant to hang lower, 63 or 83 cm.

About the stone
Agate is a variety of chalcedony, a cryptocrystalline form of silica that crystallizes in cavities in volcanic and sedimentary rocks. Its characteristic concentric bands form through the cyclical deposition of silica from hydrothermal solutions. The brown color of this mineral results from the presence of iron and manganese oxides. Each geode cross-section reveals a unique geological history recorded in its layers. Learn more in the article Agate - properties and varieties on our blog.
Care
Wipe the necklace only with a dry, soft cloth, avoiding contact between the gold-plated silver and agate and water or perfume. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of your jewelry box.
