Labradorite Necklace
Labradorite Necklace
Take a look at this raw, grey labradorite set in gold-plated silver. The necklace rests on the décolletage, where its steel-like surface meets the warm tone of your skin. The stone has a strong sheen that is visible with every movement. At the right angle, blue and green flashes can be seen in the grey mineral. This contrast between the metal and the stone draws the eye without unnecessary excess. The simple shape of the piece gives the whole design a modern character.

About the stone
Labradorite is a feldspar from the plagioclase series that forms in basic igneous rocks. It takes its name from the Canadian peninsula of Labrador, where it was discovered. This opaque, steel-grey mineral displays the phenomenon of labradorescence. This optical effect results from light interference in thin layers within the crystal structure, producing metallic, colorful flashes. You can find more information in the article Labradorite — the Aurora Stone on our blog.
Care
Protect the gold-plated silver from contact with water, and wipe the stone only with a dry, soft cloth without detergents. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of a jewelry box.
