About the stone
Labradorite is a feldspar from the plagioclase series that forms in mafic igneous rocks. It owes its name to the Labrador Peninsula in Canada, where it was first discovered and described. This mineral is characterized by labradorescence—the interference of light on thin layers inside the crystal. This phenomenon causes the gray, opaque stone to flash with metallic shades of blue and green. Learn more in the article Labradorite — the Aurora Stone on our blog.
Care
Gold-plated silver and labradorite should be cleaned only with a dry, soft cloth, avoiding contact with water and detergents. Store in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of a jewelry box.
