Oval Pyrite Drop Earrings, Gold-Plated
Each stone in this pair of stud-fastening drop earrings is a raw pyrite crystal from Peru, measuring approximately 1.5 × 1 cm. Each piece of pyrite is held in a gold-plated prong setting, leaving the crystal-covered top exposed. The surface of the pyrite is densely covered with tiny crystals that have a bright, golden sheen that turns gray in the recesses. One oval is noticeably convex at the top, while the other has a more even surface. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will send.

About the stone
Pyrite is composed of iron sulfide, and its crystals grow in shapes with regular geometry: cubes and pentagonal dodecahedra. The faces of cubic crystals have a metallic, golden sheen. Care
It's best to take your earrings off when cleaning or working out, and put them on after applying makeup. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth, without using a silver polishing cloth or polishing pastes. Remove pyrite jewelry before bathing or swimming. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if a claim is approved, we will re-plate the earrings. The plating can also be refreshed later at our workshop — the boutique can provide a price and timeframe. Store in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box.
