Gold-Plated Rock Crystal Drop Earrings

Each stone in this pair of drop earrings is a Brazilian rock crystal measuring approximately 2.5 × 1.5 cm. Gold-plated brass encases the upper part of each crystal near the ear wire, leaving the rest exposed. The white, transparent points fan out to the sides: on one earring, two form a V, while on the other, short points protrude in several directions. The stone shown in the photos is the exact one we will send. The stones in the pair differ in shape.

About the stone

In terms of color and appearance, rock crystal is transparent. Mineralogically, it is the purest variety of quartz, crystallizing at temperatures of 100–400°C. The ancient Greeks believed they were looking at ice that never melts. Learn more in the article Rock Crystal — Properties on our blog.

Care

Remove your earrings before exercising, cleaning, and going to bed. Clean the gold-plated surface with a soft cloth; do not use a silver polishing cloth or polishing paste. Clean the crystals with a dry, soft brush. The gold plating is covered by a one-year warranty: if your claim is accepted, we will replate the earrings. The plating can also be refreshed later in our workshop — the boutique can provide the price and turnaround time. Store them in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in your jewelry box.
