This stone forms in pegmatites and metamorphic zones, with major deposits located in Brazil, Colombia, and Zambia. Emerald’s characteristic internal inclusions, known in French as “jardin,” meaning garden, are a natural hallmark of this mineral and confirm its authenticity.
