Trollite
Trollite is a rare aluminum phosphate mined mainly in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. In jewelry, it almost always occurs as an intergrowth of several minerals—trollite, quartz, lazulite, and scorzalite—and it is their interplay that creates the characteristic marbled blue with lighter and darker zones.
The stone is opaque and, when polished, has a smooth, matte-to-glassy sheen and a steel-blue color that changes depending on the light. Every specimen is unique—the pattern of zones and shade of blue never repeat in two pieces.
In this collection, you’ll find jewelry featuring natural trollite—hand-selected stones set in silver and gold-plated settings.
