This size 16 pyrite-on-agate ring features a raw design. Cubic pyrite crystals are set into the dark, green-black agate base, reflecting light with the movement of the hand. About the stone
This specimen is a natural combination of two minerals: layered agate, a variety of chalcedony, and cubic pyrite crystals that have grown on its surface—iron sulfide. This type of intergrowth forms in rock cavities, where the two minerals crystallize one after the other. The arrangement of the golden pyrite crystals is different every time, which is why two stones from the same piece of rock never look identical. Care
Due to the iron content in pyrite, protect the ring from moisture and clean it only with a dry, soft cloth. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of a jewelry box.
