About the stone
Emerald is a green variety of beryl that forms in pegmatites and metamorphic zones. It owes its saturated color to traces of chromium and vanadium. The main deposits of this mineral are located in Colombia, Brazil, and Zambia. A characteristic feature of emeralds is their internal inclusions, known in French terminology as “jardin” (garden), which serve as natural proof of the stone’s identity.
