Raw Blue Kyanite Necklace
A Brazilian kyanite crystal set in gold-plated silver - blue ranging from light, almost white, to deep sapphire in elongated bands. Its layered structure is visible to the naked eye: the stone looks as if it were made of thin plates, each reflecting light separately with a pearly sheen. The pendant is narrow and elongated, making it perfect under an open shirt, where it fills the neckline with a vertical line. Chain lengths: 45 cm, 63 cm to the chest, 83 cm below the bust.

About the stone
Blue kyanite is an aluminium silicate that forms in metamorphic rocks under high pressure. It forms characteristic bladed and tabular crystals with pronounced cleavage. This mineral is distinguished by unusual directional hardness - it is significantly softer along its axis than across it, hence its former name, “disten”. It has a pearly to vitreous lustre and streaks of blue.
Care
Avoid contact between the necklace and water or perfume to protect the plating. Clean the kyanite only with a dry, soft cloth. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of a jewellery box.
