A heart-shaped slice of Brazilian amethyst set in gold-plated silver: a smooth, polished surface and a natural, matte edge. The purple passes through several shades here - from deep to light layers along the edge - while tiny crystals from which this slice formed are visible in the light. The stone is flat and sits comfortably on delicate chains. Choose from 45, 63, or 83 cm.

About the stone
Amethyst is one of the most prized varieties of quartz, known and used in jewelry since ancient times. This hard mineral forms in basalt geodes, where it crystallizes from silica-rich hydrothermal solutions. It owes its characteristic purple color to the presence of iron atoms in its crystal structure and to natural radiation from the surrounding rocks. Care
Gold-plated silver and amethyst do not fare well with moisture or strong sunlight, which can lighten the stone. Clean it with a dry, soft cloth. Store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment of your jewelry box.
