When Is Girls' Day and Where Did It Come From?
In Poland, Girl's Day or Girls' Day is a colloquial name for the International Day of the Girl, celebrated every year on October 11. The UN General Assembly established it on December 19, 2011, so the first observance took place in 2012. This year, October 11 falls on a Sunday.
Pearl Happiness Bracelet
A pearl approx. 4 mm on a lilac cord, with silver or gold-plated beads near the clasp, both versions priced at PLN 69. The macramé clasp slides, so the size is universal and fits both a slim teenager's wrist and an adult woman's wrist.
Pink tourmaline ring
Faceted pink tourmaline beads, approx. 3 mm, on a jewelry elastic cord, with silver or gold-plated beads, for PLN 69. Choose the size according to your finger circumference: S (48–51 mm), M (52–55 mm) or L (56–59 mm). We show how to measure your finger circumference with a measuring tape or piece of string in the ring size chart.
Pink quartz Happiness Bracelet
Small pink quartz beads, approx. 3 mm, on a lilac cord with a macramé clasp featuring faceted beads. The size is universal, and the bracelet costs PLN 79 in silver or gold-plated silver. Happiness Bracelets with other stones, including pairs, are described in our article about friendship bracelets.
Silver ball chain
The thin silver ball chain, with balls measuring approx. 2 mm, is 45 cm long and has a 3 cm extension chain. It costs PLN 99, while the gold-plated version costs PLN 129, so it does not fit the budget. Wear it on its own or with your own pendant or medallion. We explain separately what 925 fineness on silver means.

A gift for a 13- or 14-year-old girl for school
For school, something lightweight works best: a cord bracelet or a thin chain. It's better to take jewelry off for PE and swimming, and check the school's rules on wearing it. A stretchy ring is easy to remove before class and put back on afterward.
If your daughter is allergic to nickel, see what to check in the jewelry description.
Boyfriend's Day on September 30 is a Polish tradition, while Girls' Day, or the International Day of the Girl Child, is celebrated in many countries.

How we checked this. We took the date, resolution number, and purpose of the International Day of the Girl Child from the UN website (un.org, “International Day of the Girl Child”), and the fact that Dzień Dziewczyny is a popular Polish name for this day from the kalbi.pl calendar. We took the date of Boyfriend's Day in Poland from Wikipedia (“Dzień Chłopaka”). We took the prices, sizes, materials, and gift voucher delivery method from product pages on brazi.pl as of October 1, 2026.
